Sean Knapp is the founder and CEO of Ascend.io, the Agentic Data Engineering Platform. Prior to Ascend.io, Sean was a co-founder and CTO at Ooyala, a pioneer in online video delivery, analytics, and content personalization. At Ooyala, Sean oversaw product, engineering, and solutions, playing key roles in scaling the company to 500+ employees and Ooyala's $410m acquisition. Prior to founding Ooyala, Sean worked at Google where he was the tech lead for Google's legendary web search frontend engineering and ads UI teams, who increased Google’s revenues in excess of $1B during his tenure. Sean holds a B.S. and M.S. in computer science from Stanford University.
