Change data capture, or CDC, is most often used with databases that hold important transactional data to make sure that data organizations are working with up-to-date information. CDC is the process that ensures that changes made over time in one data set are automatically transferred to the other data set, and plays an important role in such scenarios as enterprise data warehouse, business intelligence, master data management, and data quality.
