Complete the assessment, determine your score, and use the information in this
guide for advice and best practices for getting to the next stage of maturity.
Reason for the Model
We created the TDWI Analytics Maturity Model and assessment tool in response to organizations’
need to understand how their analytics deployments compare to those of their peers and to provide
best-in-class insight and support. The assessment measures the maturity of an analytics program
objectively across many dimensions that are key to deriving value from analytics.
Value of the Model
The Analytics Maturity Model can help guide IT and business professionals on their analytics
journey. It provides a framework for companies to understand where they are, where they’ve been,
and where they still need to go in their analytics deployments. The model can also provide guidance
for companies at the beginning of their analytics process by helping them understand best practices
used by companies that are more mature in their deployments.
A great feature of the Analytics Maturity Model is the interactive benchmark assessment. At the end
of the benchmark survey, you will be able to objectively quantify the maturity of your deployment,
understand your progress, and identify what it will take to get to the next level of maturity. This
benchmark guide is designed to help you understand the phases of maturity in analytics as well as
help you interpret your benchmarking scores. We trust you will find it useful.
