Akmal is a familiar face at international conferences and has actively contributed to program committees for major events and workshops. Notably, he has authored, co-authored, or edited ten books. Akmal's academic background is equally impressive, with a bachelor’s degree in computing and information systems, a master’s in business systems analysis and design, and a Ph.D. in computer science.
