Many companies are modernizing and improving their data management capabilities, but most do so with an eye on current needs rather than considering what data management will look like in five to ten years. This is a severe oversight because the key to unlocking data management advances depends on the foundations you’re building now. One of the critical development areas to plan for is called active metadata. Although metadata is not new, unleashing its new forms will improve the treasure trove of data necessary to build performant AI and ML models for better and faster data management functions.
