October 14, 2020

Prerequisite: None

Philip Russom, Ph.D.

Senior Research Director

TDWI

Today’s data architecture techniques and design patterns are being influenced by prominent trends in data management, data warehousing, data integration, and advanced analytics. Likewise, the leading drivers for change in data architecture are advanced analytics, cloud adoption, data warehouse modernization, and new practices for data integration.

To illustrate these trends, TDWI’s Philip Russom with share findings from the 2020 TDWI Data and Analytics Survey. He will interpret survey responses in the context of evolving data architecture designs and techniques.

Russom will conclude his presentation by describing the TDWI Data and Analytics Vendor Landscape, a multi-layered architecture that spans and organizes all layers of the data/analytics technology stack. He will also explain how Virtual Summit attendees and other users can apply the Landscape to understanding the range of commercial and open-source tools on the IT market, as well as how to find tools to evaluate and acquire on a per-architectural-layer basis.
