Self-Service Adoption Models for BI

Delivering Data Analytics

BI and analytics initiatives often struggle or fail due to the business not having access to useful and valuable information. This can result in business users wanting to take matters into their own hands and building their own reports without governance and standardized processes. It is the Wild West of data.

One way to bring order to this chaos is to have a structured approach for unlocking and enabling self-service BI. Modern self-service solutions require speed and agility in order to keep up with users’ needs and make smarter business decisions. They also need to address the spectrum of users and have an easily scaled approach based on the technical competence of the end user. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to self-service.

This session will help you answer the question "How do I enable self-service BI in my organization?" It will explore the various levels of end-user personas—from senior executives to heavily technical analysts—and the associated levels of self-service solutions and processes that should be made available to them. The session takes a practical and pragmatic approach to self-service that you can tailor to implement in your own organization.
