Tamraparni Dasu is a lead inventive scientist in the Chief Data Office at AT&T. She joined AT&T Bell Laboratories in 1990 immediately after graduating with a Ph.D. in statistics from the University of Rochester. During her 30-year tenure at AT&T she has contributed significant tools and algorithms that monitor data infrastructure, data science pipelines, and data analytics. She has published numerous academic papers at top-tier database conferences like ACM SIGKDD, ACM SIGMOD, and PVLDB, and conducted tutorials and workshops on the topic at prestigious forums like DIMACS, JSM, SDM, and ICDE. In 2003, she coauthored the field’s first technical book, Exploratory Data Mining and Data Quality, published by Wiley & Sons. In addition to data quality, her research interests include efficient stream analytics, statistical computing, and machine learning.
