Organizations want to empower users to explore and analyze new data so they can apply insights to all kinds of business decisions. Many also want to be customer-centric and draw on an array of customer data sources for complete views of preferences, influences, and patterns. Yet goals for self-service user empowerment and customer-centricity often run headlong into concerns about data governance and compliance. Finding the right balance is difficult.
Fortunately, technology trends are enabling organizations to address pressures on data governance and compliance.
