Course Outline
Business intelligence has evolved dramatically since its introduction over a quarter of a century ago. It is now integrated into many business planning, decision-making, and operational practices and has expanded to provide new capabilities for insight, forecasting, planning, agility, and strategy execution to meet dynamic business needs. With many moving parts—infrastructure, technology, data, integration, analytics, applications, metrics, reports, dashboards, scorecards—putting the pieces together in the most effective way is difficult.
This course provides basic foundational information for BI and analytics from end to end. It presents current thinking on critical success factors and outlines common known pitfalls. Most important, it ensures that you are informed about all of the components needed to chart a course for BI success. Special attention is paid to applying the information for business value and creating a roadmap for a successful and sustainable program.
