Director, Enterprise Analytics
Tony Khoo has an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and a master’s in software engineering—cognitive informatics. He has a deep technical background that spans over 20 years and has worked in industries such as defense, telecom, and energy. Throughout his career he has established critical corporate capabilities and architected and delivered solutions—including digitizing the Canadian Forces, land mine detection, data mining/fusion algorithms, and cybersecurity. He currently leads the data science and governance practice at Enbridge. Enbridge applies artificial intelligence and machine learning in the areas of pipeline integrity, power optimization, sentiment analysis, predictive maintenance, pipeline network simulation, and asset optimization to drive material insights from data.
Last month, Enbridge won the 2017 TDWI Best Practices Award for Advanced Analytics and Data Science for their novel work in green energy (wind turbines); past winners include Toyota, BP Global, Verizon, Netflix, and Dell.
Tony is also defining the set of disruptive technologies and a five year road map of foundational data initiatives that will transform and digitize Enbridge.
