Within just a few years of establishing data science and analytics teams, organizations must now consider how these teams will shift in composition and skill set. Existing roles are evolving, and completely new roles have emerged.
This session will identify and describe these roles. Data scientists haven’t gone away, but the skills they need to master have expanded so greatly that specialties are emerging. Just as data engineering has firmly established itself as a new role, it has also experienced evolution in support of technologies like large language models.
New roles are varied and a consensus has not yet been established, but compliance in AI and generative AI is very different from compliance in data science more broadly. Legislation is being written quicker than most organizations can keep up. Among the new roles are roles that focus on addressing this evolving need. We will discuss the new requirements, and how the most forward-thinking organizations are leading the way in meeting this challenge.
