Steven Becker is Global Vice President of Solution Engineering for Actian Corporation. He is based out of Madison, Wisconsin leading a global team of Solution Engineers and Consultants. Steve has over 25 years of experience in the Business Intelligence, SMP / MPP database markets, Application Modernization as well as Kubernetes. Prior to joining Actian a year ago, Steve was Senior Director of Solution Engineering for VMWare for 3 ½ years, running Solution Engineering for the Modern Application Platform Business Unit (MAPBU). Steve has worked at companies such as IBM, SAP, Pivotal Software, Greenplum and other database companies. Steve also spent 4 years in Washington, DC working for the United States Defense Department as a Civilian.
