TDWI Chicago Conference

W3 Hands-on: Intro to Python for Data Analysis

May 9, 2018

9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Duration: Full Day Course

Prerequisite: None

Intro to Python is a workshop aimed at individuals who are new to programming and would like to learn Python. Python is not only a good language for beginners in programming, but it is also one of the top languages used in data science and predictive analytics. In this course, we will use Jupyter notebooks to learn and develop Python code. Jupyter notebooks are widely used for data analysis and exploration projects. By the end of this workshop, you will have learned the basics of Python: the variable types, if/else statements, for loops, and Python syntax. You will also learn how to create and use Jupyter notebooks, and you will leave with completed code, including examples of importing and visualizing data, that you can use in our own work.
