TDWI Data Literacy Maturity Model Assessment

Data Layer Modernization Maturity Model for Financial Services

1

Take the Assessment

The past decade has ushered in numerous changes in the financial services industry, and the rate of innovation has only accelerated in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Financial services companies that remain bound to their legacy computing and data infrastructures will find themselves increasingly challenged to maintain efficiency and performance.

That’s why TDWI created the Data Layer Modernization Maturity Model and Assessment—to help organizations assess their current ability to support application development with a data layer and compare themselves to their peers.

Questions are organized in five dimensions—namely leadership, culture, and strategy; infrastructure strategy; application architecture; data architecture; and business enablement—that gauge the effectiveness of your organization. We ask that you provide an honest appraisal of your progress to ensure that you and others participating in this study receive insights based on real-world situations.

The assessment is a thorough review of where your organization currently stands. Your responses—when compared to those of others—will help you determine the maturity of your data layer initiatives.

Who Should Take This Assessment?

The assessment tool and its questions are designed for people involved in leading and implementing data management, strategy, and architecture in financial services industries. If you are a consultant, please answer the questions with your most recent client in mind.

TDWI Data Strategy Assessment Guide

The TDWI Data Layer Modernization Maturity Model Assessment Guide provides an explanation of the Maturity Model, including the phases of maturity. It will also help you interpret your benchmarking scores and provide recommendations for how to move forward.

You may find it helpful to read this guide before taking the assessment so you are prepared to interpret the scores displayed at the end of the questionnaire; however, the guide and the tool can each be used independently, so you can work with them in either order.

Businesses are more digital today than ever before. They need to build, deploy, and run real-time services in order to stay ahead of the curve. The notion of real time isn’t just a nice-to-have anymore. It’s an expectation. It’s what sets a merely good user experience apart from a great one. A real-time data layer is a critical enabler in creating those real-time experiences.

Redis makes apps faster by creating a data layer for a real-time world. We’re the driving force behind Open-Source Redis, a popular in-memory database, and commercial provider of Redis Enterprise, a real-time data platform.

Redis Enterprise powers real-time services for over 8,500 organizations globally. It builds upon the unmatched simplicity and speed of Open-Source Redis along with an enterprise-grade data platform that offers robustness of modern data models, management, automation, performance, and resiliency to deploy and run modern applications at any scale from anywhere on the planet.
