Data governance is undergoing a shift. Once focused primarily on data quality, compliance, and control, governance is now expanding as AI systems consume, generate, and act on data at scale. At the same time, generative BI and analytics continue to push decision-making closer to the business. Together, these changes are redefining what it means to govern data, and where governance must operate.
In this opening session, Fern Halper, TDWI VP of Research, will share what TDWI is seeing across our research as governance evolves. She will highlight emerging challenges around accountability, trust, and operationalization, and frame the realities organizations must address as governance becomes a core enabler of enterprise AI and analytics.
Halper will then lead a panel of experts in an engaging discussion on data and AI governance in the modern era.
