Fern Halper, Ph.D.
VP and Research Director
While many “new” technologies have been around for decades, the combination of readily available compute power, platforms, and organizational willingness to analyze and utilize data is creating an analytics renaissance. Many organizations now realize that to be competitive, they need to be proactive in their analytics strategy. This includes deploying advanced technologies such as machine learning and AI as part of an ever-expanding analytics ecosystem. TDWI repeatedly sees that those organizations using sophisticated analytics are more likely to measure business impact than those who do not.
In this session, TDWI Vice President Fern Halper will bring many of the case studies presented in the conference together. Drawing from her recent research, she will discuss what early adopters are doing with advanced analytics such as machine learning and what drives success. She will also explore what’s coming down the pike and best practices to prepare for these changes.
