Prerequisite: None
As organizations pursue goals of becoming more data-informed and data-driven, what they know about the data becomes critical. The more knowledge organizations can gather about data and how it is defined and related, the more easily organizations can govern data and enable users to discover and integrate the data they need.
Data intelligence is a category of practices and technologies for assembling and using knowledge about the data. It usually centers on a data catalog, but it can also include metadata management within data management and integration platforms, data lineage tools, master data management, semantic data layers and integration, knowledge graphs, and more.
This session will discuss data intelligence practices and technologies for data governance and data quality. Key topics will include:
- TDWI analysis of organizations’ current experiences and challenges with data intelligence and their plans
- Important technology trends and directions, including adoption of generative and other forms of AI for modernizing data intelligence for data governance and improving user experiences
