Generative AI is promising but immature. Generative AI technologies—such as intelligent chatbots and large language models—have started to gain enterprise adoption, but many organizations are still early in the evaluation and exploration stages. In this keynote, James Kobielus, TDWI senior research director, will discuss which generative AI applications are starting to gain traction in the enterprise and which are still largely works in progress.
Drawing on primary TDWI research, he will discuss what enterprises still need to do to put generative AI into robust production environments. He will review the maturity of enabling technologies such as vector databases and prompt engineering. Plus, he will spell out how enterprises need to evolve their staffing, governance, curation, and compliance practices to support generative technologies within a responsible AI framework.
