How does Certification Work?
Professional certifications are offered by TDWI in partnership with the ICCP, and an independent organization that develops and maintains the exams.
Each certification is designed to assess practical real-world knowledge and experience in its respective domain.
Steps to Certify
- Prepare to Certify TDWI’s professional certifications test for working knowledge and practical experience. The TDWI Data and Analytics Body of Knowledge and Examinations Guide outlines the scope of each certification and contains practice exams. Optional preparation courses at TDWI Orlando are designed for those who already have the knowledge and experience but would benefit from an interactive and informative review before testing.
- Take the Examination for the credential of your choice. Certification is awarded based on a passing score of 50% or higher in a 90 minute assessment consisting of 110 questions. Mastery-level certification is awarded for a score of 70% or higher.
- Maintain your Credential Upon attaining certification, the credential is awarded and remains valid for a period of four years, after which it can be renewed for three years at a time. During each three-year Credential Renewal cycle, professionals are required to submit 120 hours of acceptable professional development (PD) education credits.
- Credential holders must maintain an annual membership fee of $125, beginning on the first anniversary of the certificate.
