Progress Launches OpenEdge Analytics360

Solution provides comprehensive, powerful, custom analytics platform.

Progress Software has released Progress OpenEdge Analytics360, a new custom analytics platform to help customers unlock the value of operational data.

The new solution combines technology from Progress and Logi Analytics to give customers a comprehensive, powerful analytics solution customized to their business as well as a competitive advantage in their respective marketplaces with a tailored next-generation analytics solution.  “It includes tools to extract and transform data from multiple data sources which is then loaded into the pre-designed OpenEdge data warehouse.  It’s on top of this data warehouse that the Logi Analytics tool sits,” said Jerry Rulli, president of the OpenEdge Business Unit of Progress Software.  

“In addition to the tool set, we also include a BI framework and access to the over 120 pre-built KPIs in our ever-expanding library, which helps an organization to move up to 70 percent of the way down the road in their BI initiative right out of the box by providing them the tools to continue expanding the product as their business grows.

The company also offers professional services to clients and provides training and mentoring services to the technical team.  For ISVs, Progress also provides business enablement services around the marketing/sales/support of their BI application once it is created.  

In a recent survey, 70 percent of Progress’ base stated that they would be interested in a business intelligence solution offered directly by Progress.  Progress OpenEdge Analytics360 was designed for customers that would like to implement a BI solution in a short time frame when compared to traditional, from-scratch projects.   ISV customers will solve a piece of the modernization puzzle by embedding analytic capabilities within their applications.  By doing so, Rulli says, the ISV can expect to see increased customer retention, an opportunity to go back into existing accounts and generate new revenue (upsell), and attract new customers with modern, BI capabilities embedded within their solution.
